This has got to be the prettiest lake we have ever seen.
It was such a beautiful place we just had to get our bikes off our car rack and go for a ride around it. We could see that the trail seemed to go all the way around.
This was the lake they used to film "National Treasure 2" when they were looking for the entrance to The City of Gold. We found the hole Nicholas Cage put his hand into...reluctantly reached in...but nothing happened. We also never found a city of gold. Go figure!
Shortly after starting, we found this tight and narrow space on the path to ride our bikes through.
Then the trail continued. A few people coming the other way looked at our bikes and said, "wow, now that's an adventure". We couldn't figure out why they were so intrigued--until we went a little further up the trail. It was now a rocky, uphill trail. We ended up pushing and lifting our bikes to the top of the hill.
The rest of the ride was quite enjoyable and easy. Thank goodness!!
